• Dried Sucrose: 6.35 gm
• Glucose Anhydrous: 0.5 gm
• Sodium Chloride: 1.5 gm
• Citric Acid Anhydrous: 0.587 gm
• Potassium Chloride: 0.587 gm
• Ti Sodium Citrale Dihydrate: 0.146 gm
• Flavour: qs

Pharmacology

Dosage & Administration

The amount of water removed from the body, an equivalent quantity of mixture should be given. After each loose motion. Children below 2 years : 50-100 ml (10-20 teaspoonfuls) prepared saline. Children between 2-10 years : 100-200 ml (20-40 teaspoonful) prepared saline. Children above 10 years and adults : 200-400 ml (1-2 glasses) of prepared saline.

Precautions & Warnings

ORS should not be mixed with hot water and the mixture should not be heated. The mixture must be discarded after 12 hours from preparation.
