Indications
This is indicated in- Symptoms of upper respiratory tract infections including common cold, cough, blocked or runny nose and sore throat Rhinosinusitis Tonsillopharyngitis Acute & chronic bronchitis
Composition
- Each tablet contains standardized extract of Pelargonium sidoides 20 mg.
- Each 5 ml syrup contains root extract of Pelargonium sidoides 13.33 mg.
Pharmacology
Dosage & Administration
Tablet- Adults and children over 12 years: 1 tablet 3 times a day (morning, afternoon and evening). Children aged 6 to 12 years: 1 tablet 2 times a day (morning and evening) or as per doctor’s advice. Syrup- Adults & children over 12 years: 7.5 ml ( teaspoon) 3 times a day (morning, afternoon and evening) . Children aged 6-11 years: 5 ml (1 teaspoon) 3 times a day (morning, afternoon and evening). Children aged 1-5 years: 2.5 ml ( teaspoon) 3 times a day (morning, afternoon and evening) or as per doctor's advice.
Contraindications
If the patient has severe liver or kidney disease should not use. It is also contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to any of this ingredients.
Side Effects
No side effects have been reported yet. However, in rare cases excessive dose may cause gastro-intestinal complaints such as stomach pain, heartburn, nausea or diarrhea.
Pregnancy & Lactation
Should not be taken during pregnancy and lactation.
